Up and running in three moves
- 1
Download & open
Grab the DMG, open it, and drag Diskoteca to Applications. It's signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized, so Gatekeeper opens it without ceremony.
- 2
Pick a home for your library
On first launch, Diskoteca asks one question: where should the library live? Default is ~/Music/Diskoteca. Choose copy or move for imports, and you're in.
- 3
Start ripping and syncing
The 14-day trial starts automatically — no signup, no card. Insert a CD or import a folder and see how it feels.
Why it isn't in the App Store
App Store sandboxing restricts exactly the things Diskoteca exists to do: reading CDs, writing to USB drives and SD cards, and managing your library folders directly. Selling directly keeps full disk and device access — the app is still signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so macOS verifies it the same way.
